Health ministry announces over 2000 jobs

Health Minister Ummy Mwalimu Over 2000 health workers have been offered jobs at district and regional hospitals in the country, a statement by the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children said. The statement released by the ministry’s communications unit said that the new job posts come after a license was issued by the government in f rom July this year to put 3,152 health workers on employment. “A total of 2,058 applicants have been offered jobs at district and regional hospitals and should visit the www.tamisemi.go.tz website for details,’’ reads the statement which outlined a number of procedures for the selected applicants. The statement comes barely a week after the President’s Office Regional Administration and Local Government (PRALG) announced that it was putting on hold new job posts for those who had applied in August.
